Supper Club!

Graves Family hosted Supper Club last Saturday and it was lots of fun.  What was supposed to be a scorcher of a day really did turn out to be very hot, but it cooled off just in time for us to enjoy a shady evening in the front yard cooking paella on the BBQ.  We had help with the cooking from Chef Jed.  So convenient to have a Chef in your supper club!

The resulting paellas were beautiful and delicious.  One was a classic spanish style with shellfish, the other all pork to accommodate my non-shellfish eating self.

Paella is a great dish to serve to a crowd because it is cooked all in one pot and does not require a lot of attention so the cook can hang out with guests instead of slaving over dinner.  I learned from Jed that I have been using way too much rice in the past.  It’s always great to learn something new with each cooking experience to make it better for the next time.
